The “Oath Taking Ceremony of the Elected Executive Members of Telangana Film Chamber of Commerce” was held grandly in Hyderabad, with the Minister of Cinematography, Komatireddy Venkata Reddy, attending as the chief guest. Ramesh Prasad, the head of Prasad Group of Companies, also participated as a guest.

During the event, various speakers highlighted the current challenges and the needs of the film industry in Telangana. TFCC Chairman Pratani Ramakrishna Gowd expressed his gratitude for the minister’s presence and discussed the need for a permanent office space for the Film Chamber, requesting a 800-yard plot in Filmnagar. He also raised issues such as the lack of housing for film industry workers in the Chitrapuri Colony and called for government intervention to address the high charges levied by content providers in theaters, particularly for small films.

Vice President of TFCC, Gururaj, commended the minister for his support and requested his attention to the issues related to Chitrapuri Colony. TFCC Secretary JVR and Kacham Sathyanarayana also thanked the minister for his participation, emphasizing the support the association expects from the government, especially for the release of small films in theaters.

Other speakers, including actress Kavitha, praised the support provided by TFCC to newcomers in the industry, while TMAs Secretary Snigdha emphasized the association’s role in resolving issues faced by artists, particularly women. Hero Kiran shared his personal struggles with the lack of theatrical releases for small films.

Ramesh Prasad expressed his happiness in attending the event and wished the newly elected members success. He noted the global recognition Telugu cinema is achieving and emphasized the role of the Telangana Film Chamber in supporting the industry.

Minister Komatireddy Venkata Reddy, in his speech, congratulated Ramakrishna Gowd for his re-election as TFCC Chairman and assured full support from the government to the film industry. He highlighted the importance of supporting all those involved in the industry, stressing that cinema belongs to everyone, not just a few big players. He reiterated his commitment to help secure land for TFCC’s office and flats for filmmakers in Chitrapuri Colony. The minister also promised to continue supporting small films, especially ensuring their theatrical releases.
