Some Are Trying to Postpone Telugu Film Chamber of Commerce Elections for Personal Gain, Say Producers – Elections Must Be Held as per Rules

Several producers from the Telugu Film Chamber of Commerce have alleged that a few individuals are trying to delay the upcoming elections for their own selfish interests. A meeting was held under the leadership of former Telugu Film Chamber President Basireddy, former Producers’ Sector President Dr. Pratani Ramakrishna Goud, and Executive Committee member Mohan Goud of the Producers’ Sector.

The producers unanimously resolved during the meeting held at Basireddy’s office that arrangements must be made immediately to conduct elections, as the current body’s term ends this July. They emphasized that, according to the association’s rules, elections must be held every two years. They criticized some individuals for pushing their own agenda by proposing that the current body should continue instead of holding elections.

The producers further alleged that a false campaign is being spread in the media claiming the current body will remain in place. They insisted that elections should be held in a democratic manner and warned that the efforts of those trying to block them will not succeed.

On Monday, the 7th of this month, at 10:30 AM, the producers — led by Basireddy, Dr. Pratani Ramakrishna Goud, and Mohan Goud — will jointly submit a memorandum to the Telugu Film Chamber. A press conference will be held following the submission. The producers who met today urged all fellow producers to participate in both the memorandum submission and the media briefing.

Producers who attended the meeting include Ramesh Naidu, Lion Sai Venkat, Suresh Advocate, Ravindra Gopal Sudarshan, Gururaj, Vinjamuri Madhu, Shankar Goud, Nagaraju, Murali, Amar, P. L. K., Rang Gupta Bullet, Vali, Eshwar, among others.
