*I’ll Play Any Character if the Content is Good!! – Dr. Rajasekhar*
The Film Critics Association recently honored “Angry Hero” Dr. Rajasekhar. Following the significant recognition of his role in his comeback movie Biker, the association’s Honorary President Prabhu, President J.V. Battula Prasad Rao, Secretary Suresh Kondeti, and others presented him with a bouquet. Subsequently, Critics Treasurer Bharadwaja read out and presented a citation of honor to the actor. *Senior Journalist Prabhu (Honorary President):*
Rajasekhar’s acting needs no special introduction. His performances in films like Ankusham and Agraham were legendary. He has a great bond with the media. In his second innings, his spirit and enthusiasm should double. Receiving an honor from film critics is prestigious; even legendary Akkineni Nageswara Rao once said he valued a critics’ honor very highly.
*Jeevitha Rajasekhar:* We are all like one family. The media has always treated us well. Recently, I was confused by some social media news, but our bond with journalism remains strong. Regarding Biker, many thought Rajasekhar was ‘asking’ for roles, but the truth is he receives many offers; he just waits for characters that inspire him.
*Senior Journalist Mohan Goteti:* Despite many hits, Rajasekhar remains humble and without ego. Whether it’s an action role or a lover boy role like in Allari Priyudu, he delivers wonderfully. He is a man without guile, and Jeevitha manages everything for him beautifully.
*Senior Journalist Giridhar:* I worked as his PRO for Allari Priyudu. He is a plain-hearted person. He even served as an honorary editor for my magazine ‘Maa Family Doctor’ and provided many books to help out. *Suresh Kondeti (General Secretary, Film Critics Association)* Firstly, a big thanks to Jeevitha garu. I am grateful to everyone who collaborated to make this event such a grand success.
*Q&A Session with Dr. Rajasekhar*
*How does it feel to make a comeback with Biker?*
The movie was released on April 3rd and the response to my character has been amazing. To me, this honor from the Critics Association is bigger than any other award. Just like after my accident before Ankusham, Biker has become a hit after my recent recovery. It feels great when audiences say they want to see me more on screen.
*What kind of roles will you choose in the future?*
I am doing a film with director Pawan Sadineni and another with I.V. Sasi’s son. I haven’t fixed titles yet. I am open to playing a villain too. Being a hero is hard because you have to maintain glamour and expressions; a villain role is easier and depends purely on the subject. I’ll work with big or small heroes if the character is good.
*Would you play a father role to other heroes?*
I played Sharwanand’s father in Biker. If the character is good, I will play it for anyone, though fans usually expect action from me.
*Will you do a sequel to Allari Priyudu?*
If you are ready to watch it, I will definitely do it! *Would you play a villain in a Chiranjeevi movie?*
Definitely! I have no issues with that. I am open to it.
*What is your current political stance?*
Politics is a big task and very expensive. Doing movies and politics together is difficult, so I’ve decided against it for now. I used to take Jeevitha along because she speaks very well.
*Thoughts on Actor Vijay’s political entry?*
It’s good. The response he’s getting is great—it reminds me of the response MGR used to get.
*Will your daughters have arranged marriages?*
Shivani and Shivathmika are currently focused on acting. They say they don’t want to get married just yet.
