Grand Art Exhibition for Nellutla Praveen Chandra’s “Santha”
Winners Honoured with Shields, Shawls and Cash Prizes
A unique art exhibition and prize distribution ceremony was organized as part of the promotions for “Santha”, the upcoming film written, scripted, composed, and directed by the multi-talented Nellutla Praveen Chandra. Carrying the tagline “A Love Story of the People of the Soil,” the film is being produced by B.S.J. under the Subramanya Pictures banner, with Suresh Atreya serving as co-producer.
The film stars Surya Bharat Chandra and Shravya Rao in the lead roles, alongside Kinnera, Madhumani, Alapati Lakshmi, Udaya Sri, Swapan Mondal, R.S. Nanda, Durgesh, and Amarender and Jabardast Phani in pivotal roles.
With all production formalities completed, Santha is gearing up for its theatrical release. As part of its innovative promotions, the makers conducted a national level painting competition based on the theme “The Weekly Market (Santha) You Have Seen.” Hundreds of artists participated enthusiastically. From the entries received, 50 outstanding artworks were shortlisted and displayed for two days at the Nehru Art Gallery. Among them, 10 artists received Consolation awards, while three participants were selected as the First, Second, and Third Prize winners. They were felicitated with shields, shawls, and cash prizes at a special ceremony held in the auditorium of the Nehru Art Gallery.
The event was attended by Professor Mallesham, Creative Hearts founder Anji Akondi, Jabardasth Phani, Bhole Shavali, Mounasri Mallik, and Pasunoori Ravinder, who congratulated the winners and presented the prizes. V.V. Rama Rao anchored the event.
Speaking on the occasion, director Nellutla Praveen Chandra said: “Being a painter myself, I wanted to organize an art competition that perfectly reflected the theme and title of Santha. I never imagined it would receive such an overwhelming response. The paintings created by the 50 selected artists will be featured in the end credits of the film. We will also honour the first, second, and third prize winners once again at the Santha audio launch event, where we will officially announce the film’s release date.”
