TFCC Chairman Dr. Prathani Ramakrishna Goud, who recently announced the TFCC Short Film Festival Awards 2026 with the objective of encouraging and promoting emerging talent in the film industry, revealed that the festival has been receiving an overwhelming response from aspiring filmmakers. Speaking at a press meet held in Hyderabad, he announced that renowned actress Indraja has been appointed as the Chairperson of the Jury Committee for the awards.
Dr. Ramakrishna Goud stated that awards will be presented to the top five winners across nearly 30 categories, with cash prizes being awarded to the top three winners. He also invited Telugu filmmakers residing in states such as Karnataka and Tamil Nadu to participate by submitting their short films.

Dr. Prathani Ramakrishna Goud Said Every day, many talented youngsters enter the industry with dreams and aspirations. However, many of them lack the right platform to showcase their creativity and talent. To support such emerging talent, we are organizing the TFCC Short Film Festival Awards 2026.
Since the announcement last month, we have received a tremendous number of entries. To encourage more participants, we are recognizing the top five winners in each category. The top three winners will also receive cash prizes—₹10,000 for first place, ₹7,500 for second place, and ₹5,000 for third place.
There are nearly 30 categories covering both men and women. Participation is completely free, and no entry fee is being charged. The last date for submissions is June 13th. The awards ceremony will be held on June 21st at Prasad Labs, Hyderabad.
