Actress Indraja has been appointed as the Chairperson of the Awards Jury Committee, while senior journalist Ponnam Ravichandra has been inducted as a jury member.
Speaking at the press meet, TFCC Chairman Dr. Prathani Ramakrishna Goud said “With the aim of encouraging young talent, we are organizing the TFCC Short Film Festival Awards 2026 under the banner of the Telangana Film Chamber of Commerce. We invited entries until June 13 and received a total of 55 short film entries. The submissions represent a wide variety of genres.
The overwhelming response reflects the trust that filmmakers have in TFCC. We have already announced actress Indraja as the Jury Chairperson. We are also thankful to renowned journalist Ponnam Ravichandra for joining us as a jury member.
The jury panel will review all the entries and finalize the winners by June 20. We have 30 award categories, including Best Actor, Best Actress, Best Hero, Best Heroine, Best Director, and even Best Fight Master. We will also honor journalists from print and television media.
Our goal is to encourage as many talented individuals as possible. From next year onwards, we plan to increase the cash incentives and rewards for winners. The awards ceremony will be held on June 21 at Prasad Labs, Hyderabad. We invite everyone who submitted entries to attend the grand awards function.
We thank all participants for their support. Live updates related to the event can be watched through the TFCC YouTube channel. We are committed to conducting this festival successfully every year.”
